Miss Cactus Rose is a western-inspired surface pattern collection that blends vintage desert motifs with a soft, feminine perspective. The artwork features original hand drawn illustrations of cactus florals, desert botanicals, and subtle cowgirl influences, all created without the use of AI. Each element is illustrated by hand and then thoughtfully developed into seamless repeats.
Drawing from my background in graphic design, I build patterns with a strong emphasis on layout, scale, and versatility, ensuring the designs function beautifully across applications such as textiles, stationery, and branded goods. The collection balances structured pattern composition with organic, hand-drawn linework, creating a sense of authenticity and visual interest.
The color palette leans into warm desert tones, dusty pinks, and sun-faded hues, evoking a nostalgic, vintage-inspired atmosphere while still feeling fresh and relevant. The overall vibe aligns with cowgirlcore, western, and boho aesthetics, making it especially appealing for brands in lifestyle, fashion, and home décor spaces.
This collection highlights my ability to create work that is both thematically cohesive and commercially viable, with a distinct artistic voice rooted in hand-drawn detail, thoughtful color use, and a balance between illustration and design.
